VBS 2008 - Power Lab: "Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Powers"- June 9th - 13, 9am-Noon, Pre-K to 5th Grade (Going into these grades in the Fall.). Cost is $10 per child. Families with 3 or more children, total cost is $25.  Lots of volunteer opportunities too. First 100 families to pre-register receive a FREE Sonic Sing & Play CD!  Power Lab Registration.

LEAD: Lead, Empower and Develop - Student Ministry program for 5th and 6th graders, June 9 - 13, 9 a.m.-Noon. Lead Equip And Develop Student Ministry Program is looking for a select number of upcoming 5th and 6th graders to join an exciting new challenge. 

This fun and innovative program will help you to:

  • Encourage and lead others
  • Speak with confidence
  • Strengthen your faith
  • Develop skills in drama, writing and/or music
  • Learn stage presence
  • Discover and polish your natural personality

Because of the nature of this program, there is a limited number of spaces.  Applications online, at the Information Desk and the school office for those students who wish to be considered. Turn application in at the Information Desk no later than May 18.  These applications will be reviewed by the LEAD team and those selected will be notified by May 21.  If you have any questions pertaining to this great opportunity please contact the Christian Life Department at 281.290.1228.

 

His Might Warrior Luncheon- Saturday, April 26, 11 a.m. -1 p.m. - For fathers and sons (pre-k to 6th grade), cost is $6 for fathers & $12 for sons.  Activities include Round Table Lunch, Puppet Show, Treasure Hunt, Arts & Crafts, Guest Speaker & Knighting Ceremony. Pre-registration April 13 and 20 in the Lobby on Sundays. Or inquire by email.

Little Princess Party Gallery - March 1, 2008.

Summer Camp 2008 - "Where I Belong" - July 6-11, Camp Lone Star, La Grange, Texas.  Ages 8 to 18.  Cost is $445 per child.  Summer camp is a place where you belong no matter what!  You can make new friends and have fun doing it!  Camp is also a week of learning that you belong to God and that He made you unique and special!  All children attending will ride the bus to and from camp together. The children bunk and eat with all campers attending that week. Members of Salem staff and additional volunteers will be at camp during the week and have special evening activities especially for the Salem group. Registration form (pdf).

End of Summer Splash Bash - Saturday, August 9, 2008, 5-9 p.m. Inflatables, waterslides, outdoor movie, and more. Fun for the whole family! Free admission when you donate 3 or more school supplies!

Exciting, fast-paced, fun-packed children’s lessons in KidQuest at 9 a.m. during the worship service and in Kidz Power Hour from 10:30 - 11:40 a.m. And, a variety of special programs and annual events including Summer Camps,  Club 56, VBS and much more!
